Welcome back, Florence 1 families. If your student rides the bus, be sure to download the free MyRide K-12 app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store to track your child's bus in real time.
While MyRide K-12 is a resource for staying connected, there are a few reasons when real-time tracking will not be available. We wanted to share those with you so you will know what to expect throughout the school year.
The assigned bus may not be equipped with MyRide K-12 technology, or a different bus may be used temporarily. The majority of the 107-vehicle fleet is equipped with MyRide K-12 technology. At this time, only 13 buses and 2 vans are not yet connected for real-time tracking. Many of these vehicles are operated by school-based staff who support transportation needs while also serving in their primary roles.
If a driver is absent, another driver may cover a double route, meaning your child may temporarily ride a different bus. If this happens, the MyRide K-12 app will not display accurate information. The Transportation Office will notify affected families whenever a driver absence impacts a route.
A substitute bus may be in use while a bus is being serviced. When a bus is undergoing routine maintenance, a substitute bus will be used to keep students safely on schedule. During this time, MyRide K-12 may not display accurate tracking information until the regular bus returns to service.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as Florence 1 continues expanding MyRide K-12 while safely transporting students each day.
