SUMMERTON -- The Clarendon Hall varsity volleyball defeated Andrew Jackson Academy 3-0 by game scores of 25-22, 25-18 and 25-13 to improve to 3-3 on the season.
The Saints were led by Mallory McIntosh with 16 service points and 4 aces. Brynne Baxley had 15 points and 4 aces while Sara James had 13 points.
In JV action, Clarendon Hall's team improved to 6-0 on the season with a 2-0 win over Andrew Jackson, with game scores of 25-11 and 25-7. The Saints were led by Amberly Way with 13 service points, 2 aces and 8 kills. Hadleigh McIntosh had 11 points and 5 aces while Aubrey Edwards had 10 points.

SUMMERTON -- Clarendon Hall defeated Jefferson Davis Academy Friday night by a score of 34-24.
The Saints got on the scoreboard first at the end of the first quarter with a 37-yard run by Tyrese Mitchum. The Raiders took the lead 8-6 in the 2nd quarter on a 5-yard run and a 2-point conversion. The Saints quickly answered back on their next possession with a 61-yard pass completion from Dylan Way to Zyan Gilmore to go up 12-8. With 22 seconds left in the first half, the Raiders scored a touchdown from 1 yard out and 2-point conversion to take the lead 16-14 at halftime.
The Saints came back in the 3rd quarter to regain the lead on a 32-yard run by Dylan Way.
With the Saints leading at the end of the 3rd quarter, the Saints scored on the first play of the 4th quarter by a 44-yard run from Zyan Gilmore. The Saints also completed a pass from Way to Gilmore for the 2-point conversion.With the Saints up 28-16, the Raiders turned the ball over on a fumble that was recovered by the Saints Ben Corbett. The Saints scored on their next possession on a Dylan Way 62 yard run to make the score 34-16. With time running down, the Raiders scored their final touchdown to make the final score 34-24.
The Saints were led on offense by Dylan Way with 8 rushes for 120 yards and passing 10-16 for 180 yards.Gilmore finished the night with 5 receptions for 112 yards and 1 rush for 44 yards. Kade Elliott had 3 receptions for 58 yards. The defense was led by Ben Corbett with 18 tackles and 1 fumble recovery. Gilmore ended with 10 tackles and Justin James and Wells Robinson had 9 each.
The Saints are now 4-0 on the season and will travel to Patrick Henry next Friday night.
