Orangeburg-Wilkinson 59, Myrtle Beach 33

MYRTLE BEACH — The Orangeburg-Wilkinson Bruinettes continued their winning ways on Thursday, knocking off Myrtle Beach 59-33 in the Crescom Bank Holiday Invitational.

O-W is now 8-1 and will play again Saturday morning at 11:45 against Riverside High from North Carolina. The tournament began on Wednesday and ends on Monday.

O-W was defeated Wednesday by Shelbyville of Tennessee 41-37.

The Bruinettes were led by Dejoria Howard and Shay Jackson with 14 points each, while Brandi Rivers had 12.

Denmark-Olar 41, Lake Marion 40

DENMARK — The Denmark-Olar Lady Vikings gained their second victory of the season Thursday night with a 1-point victory over the Lake Marion Lady Gators, 41-40.

Now 2-4, Denmark-Olar was led by Grace Johnson with 14 points and 13 rebounds, and Tyneca Sanders with 9 points.

The Lady Vikings will return to action on Friday, Dec. 26, when they take in the Christmas tournament at Lake Marion.

Edisto 52, Bethune-Bowman 26

CORDOVA — Ebonee Simon and Gionne Moorer scored 13 points each to lead Edisto to a 52-26 victory over Bethune-Bowman Thursday.

Tiara Holiday and Caitlin Mills added 10 points each.

Edisto (4-1) hosts Bamberg-Ehrhardt on Friday.


Edisto 54, Bethune-Bowman 46

CORDOVA — The Edisto Cougars kept their 2014-15 perfect slate intact Thursday night, knocking off Bethune-Bowman 54-46 to run their record to 5-0.

Leading the victory were Rodney Wade with 12 points; Dejuan Lee with 11, and Justin Tyler with 10.

Edisto is back in action Friday at home vs. Bamberg-Ehrhardt at 3:30 p.m.

Lake Marion 79, Denmark-Olar 44

DENMARK — The Lake Marion varsity boys kept their perfect record intact 6-0 Thursday night with a 79-44 rout of Denmark-Olar.

Lake Marion was led by Tahlik Green with 16 points, J.R. Shaw with 15 and David Ellis with 10.

The Gators play Friday at Cross at 6:30 p.m.


Edisto 33, Bethune-Bowman 19

CORDOVA — Edisto’s junior varsity boys team is still undefeated after stopping Bethune-Bowman 33-19 on Thursday.

Now 5-0, Edisto was led by Devante Williams and Marquintise Johnson with 8 points each.

The junior Cougars will also play Bamberg-Ehrhardt on Friday, beginning at approximately 2:30 p.m.


Lake Marion 37, Denmark-Olar 26

DENMARK — Lake Marion’s JV girls gained their first victory of the season on Thursday with a 37-26 win over Denmark-Olar.

Now 1-3, Lake Marion does not play again until Jan. 6, when they meet Colleton County. They were led by Jaela Bryant with 14 points.
