The Orangeburg-Wilkinson football team will have its spring football game on Tuesday, May 30 at 12:30 on the O-W football field.

The public is invited to attend and get a look at the 2017 Bruins team.

LOCAL BASEBALL

Post 4 to host preseason game

The Orangeburg Post 4 American Legion baseball team will play a preseason game against Lexington at Mirmow Field on Friday at 7 p.m.

Earlier preseason games scheduled for this week with both Lexington and Manning were moved due to heavy rains in the area.

Post 4 will open the regular-season schedule on Monday, June 5 against Beaufort at Mirmow Field.

YOUTH FOOTBALL

S.C. State to hold

youth football camp

The South Carolina State University football team will hold its annual Youth Football Camp on Saturday, June 3, at Oliver C. Dawson Football Stadium.

The camp begins with registration from 8:30 a.m. - 9 a.m., followed by individual breakout sessions from 9:15 a.m. - noon. The cost of the youth camp is $20 and open to all entrants ages 6-12 years old. Participants must bring T-shirt, shorts and cleats along with a completed waiver form. Walk-up registration is available.

LOCAL GOLF

O-W girls basketball

to host Edward Pellman

Golf Tournament

The second-annual Edward Pellman Golf Tournament will take place on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Hillcrest Golf Club, with a 9 a.m. shotgun start.

The tournament will be structured as a 4-person captain’s choice.

Hole sponsorships are still available for $150 each, while entries to play in the tournament are still available for $60 per golfer or $250 per team.

Registration includes golf, golf cart usage, drinks, lunch, awards and prizes. Prizes will be awarded for closest to pin and longest drive.

All proceeds will benefit the Orangeburg-Wilkinson High School athletic department. For registration information, visit the Hillcrest Golf Club golf shop for a form or email O-W head girls basketball coach Cedrick Simpson at cedric.simpson@ocsd5.net.
