The Orangeburg Prep girls basketball team won its home-opener Thursday on the school's newly-installed floor, taking a 61-50 win against Pelion.

Leading the way for the Lady Indians was Marlee Robinson with 12 points, Madison Garrick with 11 points, Alyson Hay with 10 points, and Reagan Merritt with 9 points.

Whitney Craft led all scorers with 20 points for the Lady Panthers.

OPS plays next on Friday, hosting Dorchester Academy at 6 p.m.

HOLLY HILL - Holly Hill Academy dropped its third straight game with a home loss to Thomas Heyward on Thursday.

HHA was led by Brooke Fennessy with 8 points, Laura Singletary with 8 points and 8 rebounds, and Tara Bilton with 5 points.

THA was led by Ivy Bryan with a game-high 16 points.

The Lady Raiders are 0-3 and play next on Monday at home against Calhoun Academy at 6 p.m.
