COLUMBIA -- Edisto scored 34 unanswered on Friday night points to defeat Eau Claire, 34-14.
Eau Claire jumped out to a 14-0 lead, scoring on two Edisto fumbles. But the Cougars found a way to regroup and win the program's first road game in five seasons.
Hikeem Elmore led the way for the Cougars (2-1) with 13 carries for 225 yards and three touchdowns. Omari Armstrong carried the ball three times for 24 yards and one touchdown and Mac’kel Ryant had 10 carries for 65 yards.
On the defensive side, the Cougars held Eau Claire to 34 total yards of offense. Cadon Moore returned an interception for a 55-yard touchdown, Logan Knight had four tackles and four sacks, Elmore had eight tackles and Quincy Fredrick had four tackles.
The Cougars will host Scotts Branch next week at 7:30 p.m.

NORTH CHARLESTON -- Cathedral Academy defeated Calhoun Academy 44-40 on Friday night.
Caleb Crosby led the way in the effort for the Cavaliers with 38 carries for 451 yards, six touchdowns and two 2-point conversions.
On defense, Crosby had 12 tackles including one for a loss, Weston Davis had 10 tackles, Evan Inabinet had eight tackles, Seth Tyson, Noble Moore and Matt Layton each had one interception and Layton and Chandler Williams each had a fumble recovery.
The Cavs will take on Kings Academy next week at 7:30 p.m.

Dorchester Academy eked out a 12-6 win over Williamsburg on Thursday.
Lance Brownlee threw for 81 yards and rushed for 72 yards with two touchdowns and Ben Murray had four catches for 60 yards.
On defense, David Cleland had nine tackles and Chase Way added seven tackles, one forced fumble and a blocked extra point.
DA will host Northwood Academy next week.

Dorchester Academy took a 32-12 win over Colleton Prep on Thursday, the game was called off at halftime due to lightning and thunder storms in the area.
Haden Hartzog led the way with three touchdowns, two receiving and one kickoff return for a touchdown. Caleb Byron had one touchdown on the ground and one through the air, Dylan Price converted three 2-point conversions.
Hartzog and Hunter Clement led the defensive charge.
The Raiders (2-0) will travel to Northwood Academy next week.

ESTILL -- Patrick Henry defeated Clarendon Hall 3-0 on Thursday, with match scores of 25-18, 25-18 and 25-14.
Ava English lead the Saints with nine service points. Sara James and Madison Kidd each had six points.
CH (2-3) will travel to Summerton on Thursday to take on Andrew Jackson Academy.

ESTILL -- Clarendon Hall (5-0) remained undefeated with a 2-0 win over Patrick Henry on Thursday, with match scores of 25-23 and 25-16.
The Saints were led by Amberly Way with 13 service points and two aces and Aubrey Edwards with 12 points and five aces.
Lady Panthers fall in volleyball opener
RALEIGH, N.C. -- The Claflin University volleyball team fell to Shaw University, 0-3, (16-25, 16-25, 6-25) in its 2017 season opener at the C.C. Spaulding Gym in Raleigh, N.C.
Claflin (0-1) recorded 18 kills with 24 digs over the three sets.
Diara Lewis paced the Lady Panthers with six kills. Lewis also had six digs in the contest. Jamie Dobson and Jordan Wallace contributed four kills each.
Defensively, Alycia Perez-Johnson picked up eight digs and Jewel Moody had two block-assists for the Lady Panthers.
Shaw (1-0) was led by Saraya Klink and Keveesha Wattley with nine kills apiece.
Claflin will return to action Wednesday when they travel to Tigerville to face North Greenville in a non-conference matchup. First serve is 6 p.m.
