Orangeburg Prep lost its opening varsity volleyball match of the season to Patrick Henry Academy on Tuesday by a 3-0 score, with set scores of 25-11, 25-10, and 25-15.

Leading the way for the Lady Indians was Ashlyn Smith with 12 digs, Charlotte Laird with 5 kills, Karlee Stoller with 4 kills, and Avery Tucker with 14 assists.

OP (0-1) will play at Dorchester Academy on Thursday at 6 p.m.

The Orangeburg Prep JV volleyball team opened the season with a 2-0 win at home against Patrick Henry Academy on Tuesday, with set wins of 25-20 and 25-18.

Offensive leaders for the Indians were Anna Katherine Evatt with 8 service points, 2 aces, and 3 kills; Anna Beth Lambrecht with 8 service points, 3 aces, and 8 assists; Anna Brake Plummer with 6 service points, 2 aces, and a kill; and Joni Holstad with 6 service points, an ace, and a kill. Campbell Delaney added 3 kills.

The Indians were led defensively by Katherine Lambrecht.

OP (1-0) will play at Dorchester Academy on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
