Under first-year head coach Preston Deaver, the Cougars are off to the program's best start since 2001.

Meanwhile, Bamberg County is the home of the 3 other undefeated T&D Region teams. Bamberg-Ehrhardt and Denmark-Olar are both 2-0 for the second straight year. Meanwhile, SCISA school Andrew Jackson Academy has continued its run of success in 8-man play, having won 50 of its last 51 games.
