Rose Festival Golf
on hold for now
The 2019 Rose Festival Golf Championship has been postponed once again.
Earlier this year, the decision was made to make improvements to the Hillcrest Golf Course and move the annual event from May to September.
It was later announced that the event would take place the weekend of Sept. 14.
Hillcrest Golf Club announced on Wednesday that the Rose Festival Golf Championship has been postponed indefinitely, along with the course having to close early on Wednesday and all day Thursday due to Hurricane Dorian's impact on the region.
The annual Wesley Christian School Benefit Golf Tournament will be held on Saturday, September 21 at Hillcrest Golf Course.
Registration will be at 8 a.m., with a shotgun start at 9 a.m.
There are still team spots and sponsorship spots available for the 4-person captain's choice event. Cost per golfer is $50, with snacks and lunch provided, along with prizes.
