ROWESVILLE - The Bethune-Bowman Mohawks took a 36-6 home football win against the North Eagles on Saturday morning, in a game that was originally scheduled for the previous night.
The victory was the Mohawks' first of the season and improves Bethune-Bowman to 1-2.

Offensively, Bethune-Bowman was led by running back Jesus Benjamin and wide receiver Ashon Green. Benjamin rushed 13 times for 241 yards, and scored 3 touchdowns on runs covering 29, 18 and 40 yards. He also added three 2-point conversions. Green had 101 rushing yards on 4 carries; scoring on runs of 35 and 54 yards. He added a pass reception for 33 yards from quarterback Matthew McClary.
Defensively, the Mohawks had a solid team effort highlighted by individual plays such as Bradley Washington securing the Mohawks' first pass interception of the season, Green's second fumble recovery and return of the season, Tyreek Jenkins totaling 9 tackles and 2 quarterback sacks, and Javier Guinyard, Jabes Pauling and Jaylen Clifton who combined for 21 total tackles.
The Mohawks are to play next at 7:30 p.m. on Friday at Hunter-Kinard-Tyler.
North is 0-2 this season and plays at Whitmire on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
