The Claflin University volleyball team will battle Livingstone College in a Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Southern Division matchup on Saturday inside the Jonas T. Kennedy Health and Wellness Center (Tullis Arena).
First serve is slated for 2 p.m.
This will be the second meeting of the season between the two divisional teams with Livingstone posting a 3-1 (25-23, 26-24, 19-25, 25-19) decision over Claflin earlier in the month in Salisbury, North Carolina. Since that match, the Lady Panthers have won just once in six matches for a 5-12 overall record that includes a 4-6 mark in the CIAA.
As for Livingstone, the Lady Blue Bears have racked up a 6-2 record since facing Claflin, improving to 11-6 overall for the season and 6-5 against CIAA teams.
Claflin, which is 4-5 at home this season, is led offensively by Jala Roberts and Taylor Drayton with 145 and 143 kills, respectively.

The Lady Panthers have four players over the 100-mark in digs for the season with Trinity Fierce leading the way at 170. Jada Jones is next with 145 followed by Léah Wellington at 111 digs and Roberts with 106.
As a team, the Lady Panthers have collected 1035 digs (16.4 per set) on the season.
Wellington is the top assist leader for Claflin with 239, while Vianca Colon Gonzalez has added 129.
Sadaiya Edouard continues to lead the Lady Panthers in blocks at 47 along with 25 and service aces.
Following the match, Claflin will hit the road for two matches beginning Monday when they travel to Benedict College. The Lady Panthers will then head to CIAA foe Fayetteville State University on Thursday.
