Radford on Tuesday
The South Carolina State women’s basketball team return to action Tuesday, when they host Radford University in a non-conference contest at Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center at 7 p.m.
LAST MEETING: Last time the two teams met, Radford defeated SC State 61-31 on Nov. 7th, 2018.
South Carolina State (1-1) looks to keep up their winning ways after suffering a 70-49 home loss to Presbyterian College in their season-opener last week. The Lady Bulldogs bounced back Saturday, knocking off Charleston Southern 81-75 in overtime on the road.
Junior guard Heniaya Moton led the way with a game-high 31 points, while Preseason First Team All-MEAC forward Taylor Brown finished with 19 points and 15 rebounds in the win.
Meanwhile, Radford (0-1) seeks their first win of the season after dropping an 80-46 road loss to Vanderbilt.

Bulldogs on the road
to take on Liberty
LYNCHBURG, Va. — The South Carolina State men’s basketball team hit the road once again to take on the Liberty Flames in a non-conference match up Tuesday (Nov. 12th) at The Vines Center. Tipoff is 7 p.m. and will be televised live on ESPN+.
The Bulldogs (1-1) are coming off a 79-64 home-opener win over Bob Jones University from Greenville on Friday. Preseason First Team All-MEAC senior forward Damani Applewhite led the way with a team-high 19 points and eight rebounds in the win.
The Flames (2-0) look to continue their winning ways after posting wins over Radford (66-60) and Maryland Eastern Shore (66-55). Liberty has three players in double figures with Scottie James leading the way averaging 12.5 ppg. Darius Mcghee chips in 11.5 ppg and Caleb Homsley adds 10.5 ppg per outing.
Next up, SC State takes on Wilberforce (Ohio) University at home Monday (Nov. 18) in a non-conference battle at Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center. Tipoff is 7 p.m.
