MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- The Lady Panthers of Claflin University will visit LeMoyne-Owen College on Monday for a Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) women’s basketball game.

Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m. (CST).

Claflin will enter the contest at the Bruce Harris Gymnasium fresh off a 59-38 win over Lane College in its SIAC opener Saturday. The win snapped a three-game SIAC regular season losing streak dating back to last season.

The last regular season win by the Lady Panthers came against Paine College 55-46 in February.

In the last meeting between the two teams in 2016, Claflin posted a 58-50 decision in Orangeburg.

Both teams will bring identical 2-3 overall and 1-0 SIAC records into this year’s matchup.

LeMoyne-Owen knocked off East Division preseason favorites Benedict College on Saturday 65-61.

Dominique Williams leads the Lady Panthers scoring at 13. 0 points per game. She has scored in double-figures four of the five Claflin games this season. Williams posted a season-high of 20 points in the Lady Panthers 80-61 season-opening loss to Livingstone College.

Other double-figure scorers for Claflin includes Joy Okeke at 11.5 point and Ashely Fields at 11 points.
