Wilson Hall wins region golf match
SUMTER – Wilson Hall recorded a 151 to win a five-way SCISA region golf match on Thursday at Beech Creek Golf Course in Sumter.
Calhoun Academy was third at 163 and Orangeburg Prep was fifth at 198. Thomas Sumter at 161 was second and Laurence Manning at 179 was fourth.
Wilson Hall was led by Christian Salzer with a 36.
Cooper McGee had 38 and Justin Hood shot 39 for CA.
For OPS, Jayke Wannamaker had a 44 and Carrie Troutman shot 48.
OPS plays next on April 7 at Orangeburg Country Club in a non-region match against Thomas Heyward and Colleton Prep.
Bamberg-Ehrhardt 11, Denmark-Olar 0
BAMBERG – The Bamberg-Ehrhardt soccer team hosted Denmark-Olar at Raiderville Thursday night, and came away with an 11-0 victory to run their record to 6-1.
Scoring for BE were Daulton Sandifer (3 goals, 2 assists), Austin Bryant (2 goals, 1 assist), DeAndre Horry (2 goals, 1 assist), Mitch Robinson (2 goals, 1 assist), Tyler Saitz (2 goals, 2 assists) and Hayden Bess (1 assist).
B-E's next game will be against region rival Branchville in Bamberg on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
Hanahan downs O-W
Orangeburg-Wilkinson was handed a 5-1 defeat by Hanahan on Thursday in varsity tennis action.
O-W, 0-1, is back in action on April 2 at home against Beaufort.

ST. MATTHEWS – Calhoun County defeated Hunter-Kinard-Tyler 22-4 in high school baseball action on Thursday.
Calhoun County (3-2, 2-2) was led by Zach Edwards 3-4 and Zak Taylor, Dalton Crider, Noah Bearden and Tyrone Archie with two hits apiece.
J. Jenkins and J. Wright had one hit each for H-K-T.
Calhoun County travels to Edisto next Tuesday at 6.

Edisto 10, Silver Bluff 5
AIKEN -- Edisto upped its record to 6-4 overall on Thursday with a 10-5 victory over Silver Bluff.
Edisto, 4-1 in region play, is back in action Friday in a doubleheader at Ridgeland-Hardeeville, beginning at 5 p.m.
Kyle McAlhany picked up his second win of the season for Edisto to go to 2-0.
Leading the Cougars at the plate were Jordan Rickenbaker, 2-4; CJ Sutcliff, 1-3 and 2 RBIs; Zach Drawdy, 3-4 and 3 RBIs; and Reese Davis, 1-3 and 2 RBIs.
Clarendon Hall 21, OPS 11
Orangeburg Prep varsity softball fell to Clarendon Hall 21-11 on Thursday.
Leading hitters for the Lady Indians were Nicole Workman with a single, a double and 2 RBIs; Victoria Williams 1-2 with an RBI; Logan Teague with a double and an RBI, and Zoe Kittrell 1-4 with a double and 2 RBIs. Orangeburg Prep's next game is April 7 at home against Laurence Manning at 4.
Edisto 5, Silver Bluff 4
CORDOVA – Edisto defeated Silver Bluff 5-4 in 8 innings on Thursday.
Kayla Phillips was the winning pitcher with four strikeouts.
Kaitlyn Williams went 3-4 with a double and scored the game-winning run on a hit by Caitlin Mills, who went 1-3.
Edisto (9-4) plays Friday at Ridgeland-Hardeeville.
Edisto 10, Silver Bluff 2
CORDOVA – Edisto defeated Silver Bluff 10-2 on Thursday.
Hannah Bilton was the winning pitcher with seven strikeouts.
Leaders at the plate were Mary Catherine Sanders at 3-3 with two runs scored, Emily Phillips at 2-3 with two runs scored and Hayden Player at 1-3 with 3 RBIs.
Edisto is 6-0.
Edisto 9-7, Laurence Manning 2-3
CORDOVA – Edisto swept Laurence Manning in a doubleheader, 9-2 and 7-3, on Thursday.
The winning pitcher in game one was Josh Searson with six strikeouts. In the second game, Skye Foster was the winning pitcher. He had three strikeouts.
In the first game, Eston Smoak had three RBIs, Bryceton Bramlett had two RBIs, and Wesley Brown and Brett Rogers each had an RBI. Foster had a triple.
In the second game, Foster and Rogers each had an RBI, Will Rickenbaker had a double and Jacob Hall had an RBI and a double.
Edisto, 5-0, plays Clark Middle Monday at 5:30 at Orangeburg-Wilkinson High School.
PAC 7, Orangeburg Prep 2
PAC of Columbia defeated Orangeburg Prep (4-6) 7-2 in Columbia Thursday night.
OPS' Landon Hiers pitched a complete game, striking out three, walking two, and allowing six hits. Copland Furtick, Davis Mack and Hiers had hits for the Indians, while Furtick and Bowen Turner had RBIs.
