Someone stole 11 utility trailers from Lowe’s on North Road, according to a sheriff’s office incident report.

An employee reported Monday that the trailers went missing from the property sometime between Oct. 12 and Oct. 16.

The value of the stolen trailers is $15,369.

Anyone with information on the thefts is asked to contact the sheriff’s office at 803-533-5824 or Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.

  • An Orangeburg woman said her boyfriend slapped her and assaulted her with a bread knife Tuesday night, according to a sheriff’s office incident report.

The woman said her boyfriend slapped her on the right side of her face and called her degrading names.

She said he then pushed her on the concrete floor of the carport. She went inside the house where her boyfriend continued hitting her, the report said.

She walked into the kitchen, where her boyfriend allegedly picked up a bread knife and swung it at her, striking her right arm.

He then told her that if she called police that he’d kill her, her daughter and her grandchildren, she said.

Her boyfriend left the residence before deputies arrived.

Deputies retrieved the bread knife as evidence.

The woman declined medical treatment.

  • Deputies charged a Cordova man with shoplifting from the Walmart on North Road, but he allegedly possessed other items that didn’t belong to him, according to a sheriff’s office incident report.

Deputies responded to the store at 8:49 p.m. Tuesday after a loss prevention officer reported seeing a man shoplifting a camping knife.

When a deputy searched the man prior to loading him into a patrol vehicle, he discovered two debit cards and an identification card belonging to three different people, the report said. The deputy also reported finding a blank check from a local grocery store.

The man said that he found those items in his dryer at home, the report said.

Deputies also reported finding a small baggy with a white substance in his possession.

  • A Bamberg Road man reported Tuesday night that the following items were missing from his shed: three jigsaws, a chainsaw, a handsaw, a table saw, a buffer, a sander, a silver drill press, a welder, three grinders, a non-riding lawnmower, a gas-powered blower, two weed cutters, a headset and a gas generator.

The items are valued at $2,670.
