Sheriff’s Office

A Lendel Drive man called deputies at 6:24 p.m. on Tuesday to report that someone broke into his home and stole five 12-gauge single-shot shotguns from his gun safe.

He told deputies he may have left a door at the residence unsecured, according to the incident report.

The only damage to the home was a cut screen in a screen door and broken glass on the gun safe.

The stolen guns are valued at $1,800, the report states.

In an unrelated report, a Summerville man reported someone stole his golf cart from his vacation home on Campground Road at Rocks Pond Campground in Eutawville.

He said when he arrived at the residence, his white EZ-GO golf cart was missing from the side of his shed, the report states.

The suspects appeared to have left behind a green flashlight and removed the knob for the golf cart's ignition switch. Both items were found on the ground.

He described the golf cart as having a lift kit, large studded tires, chrome rims, review mirrors, head and taillights and registration decals on the side.

The golf cart is valued at $5,600.
