Another U.S. senator and 2020 presidential candidate will be visiting The T&D Region this weekend.

Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders will be hosting two events on Saturday, May 18 in The T&D Region.

Sanders’ first stop will be at Life Cathedral Church in Orangeburg from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.

Sanders will then head to Denmark Technical College, where he will host a town hall from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

While in Orangeburg, Sanders will be discussing education and poverty.

The conversation during the town hall at Denmark Tech will focus on environmental justice.

Sanders last visited The T&D Region in February 2016 during his first campaign as a presidential candidate, making a stop at Claflin University.
