The South Carolina Independent School Association will hold their 40th annual State Teachers' Conference Friday, Nov. 8, on the campus of Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College. The one-day conference will bring hundreds of teachers from across the state for professional development opportunities.

THURSDAY MORNING QUARTERBACK: Ready, set, playoffs

The keynote speaker will be Dr. Terrence Vandiver, of Terrence Vandiver Leadership Development Co., is a certified speaker, trainer and coach, specializing in the area of organizational leadership.

The conference will include over 40 break-out sessions covering all grade levels, disciplines of study, STEM and STEAM initiatives, and educational innovations.

The SCISA Executive Director Dr. Spencer Jordan is excited to bring this annual conference to Orangeburg.

"Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College provides an outstanding venue to host this event, Jordan said. "The staff has been excellent to work with as has Orangeburg County officials as we look to partner more with Orangeburg County and Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College."

Today, SCISA will host more than 80 administrators from across the state at a luncheon. Retired Circuit Court Judge James C. Williams and other education and legal experts will present relevant and pertinent information.
