The Regional Medical Center has hired Carol Koenecke-Grant as its new vice president of strategy and marketing.
Koenecke-Grant has more than 25 years of experience in progressive health care strategy, planning, marketing, business development and organizational growth.
“Carol has a national reputation for being a visionary leader in health care marketing and strategic planning, and we are very excited to welcome her to our leadership team,” RMC President and Chief Executive Officer Charles Williams said.
“Carol is a firm proponent of patient- and family-centered care and we believe her track record makes her ideally suited for helping us achieve our goals for growth and sustainability,” he said.
Prior to joining RMC, Koenecke-Grant was the vice president of strategic services at Valley Health System in Winchester, Va., where she was responsible for strategic planning, marketing, public relations, communications and physician relations.
She has also served as chief strategy officer at Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota in Minneapolis; senior vice president of strategic planning and marketing at Guthrie Health in Sayre, Pa.; vice president of planning and marketing at Carle Clinical Association in Urbana, Ill.; and manager of marketing services at Greenville Hospital System in Greenville, S.C.
An active board member for the Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development and a member of the American Medical Group Association, Koenecke-Grant is a sought-after speaker on the future of health care strategy, regional service line growth, branding, social media and a variety of health care marketing and public relations topics.
She has been a Top of Virginia Regional Chamber Board Member since 2015 and has served as a member of the Economic Development Board for the City of Winchester since 2015.
Koenecke-Grant earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology at Louisiana State University and a master’s in counseling at Rollins College in Winter Park, Fla.
