The latest person to join the race to become the 2020 Democratic presidential candidate will visit Orangeburg.

Deval Patrick, the former Massachusetts governor, will hold a roundtable discussion on Wednesday.

Patrick will meet with students from both Claflin and South Carolina State universities in the 1869 Club on Claflin’s Campus.

The event is not open to the public.

Patrick will discuss several topics with the students, including the country’s job market, first-time voters and historically black colleges or universities.
