ORANGEBURG -- William Raymond Perry, 87, of Orangeburg, passed away Monday, July 15, 2019, in Florida.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 19, in the Thompson Funeral Home chapel in Orangeburg, with the Rev. Carl Schaffer officiating. Burial will be in the Platt Family Cemetery, Holly Hill.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home before the service.
Pallbearers will be Tony Altman, Daniel Taylor, Bruce Platt, Mark Vines, Alvoid Pratt and Darrell Pratt.
Mr. Perry was born Jan. 31, 1932, in Sumter, the son of Jay and Florence Perry. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Margie Mae Kizer of Holly Hill; daughter Linda (Bill) Harlow of Hampton; two stepdaughters, Sybil (Mark) Vines of Oviedo, Florida, and Mollie (Carl) Schaffer of Shawnee, Oklahoma; three stepsons; Joe Platt of Harleyville, Bruce Platt of Roanoke, Virginia, and Daniel Taylor of Moncks Corner; and three grandchildren.
