ORANGEBURG -- Marjorie Clara Williams Dukes, 96, widow of Earl A. Dukes Sr., passed away Monday, March 12, 2018.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, in the Thompson Funeral Home chapel. Burial will follow in Crestlawn Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Tant Ehrhardt and the Rev. Larry Williams will be officiating.
Pallbearers will be Johnathan Jackson, Bryan Jackson, Sidney “Buddy” Dukes, Michael Dukes, Kevin Dukes and Earl Dukes III.
Mrs. Dukes was born Dec. 29, 1921, in Eau Gallie, Florida. She was the daughter of the late Sidney Eugene Williams and the late Clara Bunch Williams. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. She was predeceased by a son, William Odell “Billy” Dukes, and a grandson, Timothy Jackson.
Survivors include her sons, Earl A. Dukes Jr. (JoAnn) of Orangeburg and Sidney V. Dukes (Reatha) of Orangeburg; daughters Gail Dukes Thomas (Charles) of Snow Camp, North Carolina, and Pam Dukes of Cordova; nine grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the residence of Earl and JoAnn Dukes.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, at Thompson Funeral Home Inc. in Orangeburg.
