ELLOREE --- George “Bubba” Franklin Kemp IV, 24, of Elloree, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 5, 2017.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, 2017, at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg, with the Rev. David Mitchell.
Burial will follow in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Elloree.
Thompson Funeral Home Inc. of Orangeburg is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Adolfo Tamayo, Sabastian Colbourne, Caleb Pedings, Tyler Kalmar, Jeremie Bozard and Tommy Corbett.
Mr. Kemp was born on Oct. 28, 1993, in Orangeburg. He was the son of George Franklin Kemp III and Vicky Kemmerlin Kemp Parker. He was a boilermaker at Plant Vogle in Georgia. George loved camping at the beach with family and friends, motorcycles and kayaking. He was a great friend to everyone and he loved to make people laugh.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Vicky and Eddie Parker of Elloree; his father and stepmother, George and Janice Kemp of Orangeburg; sister, Kelly Marie Kemp of Elloree; maternal grandmother, Marie Gartman of St. Matthews; maternal aunt and uncle, Brenda and Tommy Corbett of North; paternal grandparents, George and Carol Kemp Jr. of Penn Hook, Virginia, and Nancy and Dale Meadows of Gaithersburg, Maryland; paternal aunt, Cindee Sue Wolford of Damaseus, Maryland; his beloved pit bull, Ash; a special friend, Christin Marie Lowry of North Charleston and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends may call at the residence of his mother and stepfather, Vicky and Eddie Parker.
Memorials may be made to the Calhoun County Animal Shelter, 140 Purple Martin Drive, St. Matthews, SC 29135.
