Funeral services for Mr. Floyd Carnell Wilson, 46, of 323 Palm Harbor Drive, Orangeubrg, will be held at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2012, at Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church with the Rev. Dr. James B. Stukes officiating.
Burial will follow at Heavenly Rest Memorial Park in Cordova. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.
Floyd Carnell Wilson, son of Thelma Williams Wilson and the late Robert Wilson was born April 6, 1965, in Richland County. He departed this life on Thursday, Jan. 19, 2012, at the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg.
Mr. Wilson graduated from the Lower Richland High School class of 1983. He was a member of Calvary African Methodist Episcopal Church. He had a passion for music and was the lead guitar player for Liz and the Inspirational Voices and former lead guitar player for the Rising Stars of Eastover, S.C.
He was employed with Love Chevrolet of Cayce, S.C. for 22 years, where he was loved and admired by his co-workers.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Theodora Constance Wilson of the home; his mother, Thelma Wilson of Eastover; two sisters, Johnnie Mae (Derrick) Davis and Jackqueline (Ronnie) Richardson, both of Hopkins; two brothers, Robert Herman Wilson and Tyrone Wilson, both of Eastover; two godsons, Darius and Brent Floyd Wilson; one goddaughter, Mikyah Frazier; one sister-in-law; two brothers-in-law; aunts; uncles; a host of cousins and other relatives and friends.
Friends may call at the residence of his wife, Mrs. Theodora Wilson, 323 Palm Harbor Drive, Orangeburg or the residence of his mother, Mrs. Thelma Wilson, 1009 Robert Wilson Road, Eastover or at Simmons Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held Monday, Jan. 23, 2012.
