COLUMBIA -- Dora Walling Tindall, 84, of Columbia, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2019. She was the wife of the late Marion Ted Tindall of Orangeburg.
Dora was born in North, a daughter of the late Homer Walling and the late Nanoline Morgan Walling.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 23, at Dukes-Harley Funeral Home, with the Rev. Richard Humphries and the Rev. Keith Watson officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are David Odom, Victor Odom, Dustin Jeffcoat, James Strickland, Thomas Morgan, Bruce Brutschy, John Strickland and Tyler Jackson. Honorary pallbearers are George Matheny, John Coleman and Lamar Brown.
Dora was retired from the Regional Medical Center, Orangeburg, having worked in outpatient services. She moved to Cayce in 2001 and was a member of Columbia's First Baptist Church and the Senior Choir. Dora enjoyed singing, shopping, word-find puzzles and her Chihuahua, "Carlos." She enjoyed life in Cayce, residing on the beautiful Congaree River. She always said that she had the "best view in Columbia, S.C."
Survivors include her daughter, Joni Tindall Chaney, and son-in-law Roy of Columbia; and sister-in-law, Judy Tindall Stevenson of New Port Richey, Florida. She was predeceased by her mother, Nanoline Walling, and her father, Homer Walling of North; brother Buell Jack Walling of Wagener; and a son, Anthony Lee Tindall, stillborn twin of daughter Joni.
