HOLLY HILL -- Clara Coker Jackson, 70, of Holly Hill, passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2019.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Avinger Funeral Home on Sunday, July 7, 2019. Funeral services will follow in Avinger Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dale Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in First Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Coker, Heath Westbury, Marv Brown, Terry Jackson Jr., Brian Robinson and Gerald Coker. She was born on July 6, 1948, in Holly Hill, daughter of the late Alton and Dora Bunch Coker. She was married to the late John Jackson of Harleyville. Clara was a member of Torch of Truth Ministries. She was a dedicated employee of Piggly Wiggly for 31 years. Clara was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She never met a stranger and always went above and beyond to help family and friends. She was the rock of her family and will be dearly missed.

Survivors include her children, Lisa Byrd, David (Betsy) Jackson and Karen Jackson; grandchildren, Heather Rutledge, Kristen Byrd, Ryan Metz, Sabrina Metz, John Byrd and Cameron (Lisa) McNeill; great-grandchildren, Jayden Fogle, Braylen Johnson,Traityn Gary, Bryson Byrd, Ailey Kunz, Conor Kunz, Keira McNeill, Declan McNeill and Hanna McNeill; sister, Alice (Bobby) Westbury and brother, Alvin (Susie) Coker. In addition to her parents and husband, Clara was predeceased by her brothers, Edgar and Harmon Coker.
