The North Branch Library is hosting Aunt Celia’s Country Christmas Store on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2 to 5:30 p.m. beginning Tuesday, Nov. 5, and ending Thursday, Dec. 19.
Service dog Celia the “Bibliodog” invites everyone to visit the library and purchase a Christmas gift for themselves or a loved one. The cost of each item is the same: The individual must read six books in order to purchase an item or, if enrolled in school, must make 60 100s (every 10 100s equals one book read).
“We have so many generous patrons and other individuals who donate to the North Branch Library that we thought it would be appropriate for us to share with the area,” library manager Sherryl Mitchum said. “There is something for everyone and items for all ages. Most of the items are new but a few are gently used.”
You have free articles remaining.
Some of the items for sale are craft items, T-shirts and sweatshirts, tote bags, seasonal decorations, tools and even a curling iron. Be sure to bring your list of books or your proof of 100s in order to purchase an item.
