Patrons of the North Branch Library recently created their own latch hook rugs. The class, which was opened to the public, began on Jan. 3 with participants selecting specific designs and transferring that design to the backing.

After working a few minutes, library patron Daisy Goodwin commented that latch hooking was not very difficult but it required concentration.

The class was taught in two sessions.

A class teaching crewel embroidery will begin at the North Branch Library at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 24. This class will also be taught in two 90-minute sessions, and all material will be provided.
