Girl Scouts of Eastern South Carolina logo

The Girl Scouts of Eastern SC will now be able to extend the Girl Scout experience to more girls in the area.

Aflac has provided a $5,000 grant through the Central Carolina Community Foundation for “The Girl Scout Difference” program.

It will give at-risk girls in Calhoun and Orangeburg counties the opportunity to participate in the Girl Scout program.

The purpose of this grant is for Girl Scouts of Eastern SC to be able to provide low-income, at-risk girls the opportunity to participate in Girl Scouts. The items that are funded for the girls by the Aflac grant are membership fees, girl starter kits, camperships and new troop leader kits. Meeting signage is covered as well.
