Arm wrestling and muscle cars will be on tap Saturday, Dec. 8 at Johnson’s Marine, located at 1782 Old Edisto Drive.

The all-day event will feature an arm-wrestling tournament followed by a classic auto show.

“The purpose of the events is to bring awareness that there are a lot of people in the area that have old cars that like to show them at events,” Carrie Johnson said.

“Also that there is an arm wrestling club in the area and Kenny Baltzegar is the coordinator of that group,” she said.

The weigh-in for the arm-wrestling tournament and registration for the auto show will begin at 10 a.m.

The auto show will feature cars from all classes, including:

• Modern

• Antique

• VW

• Hot rod

• Muscle

• Antique truck

• Modern truck

The judged categories will include the best sound, best tires and best rims.

There is no admission cost for the first-year events, and there will also be vendors selling food and various items.

Johnson noted that there is no registration fee for the events. Johnson also stated that, “there is no cost for any vendors that would like to set up a table/tent to sell anything.”
