An Orangeburg woman called officers at 4 a.m. Tuesday to report that someone stole her unlocked vehicle from the parking lot of 1109 John C. Calhoun Drive.

She told officers that she parked her 2012 white Dodge Avenger by a tree in the parking lot at 11 p.m. on Monday.

She also explained that she has issues with her vehicle’s alarm sounding, so she left the keys in her unsecured vehicle.

She also stated that no one knew that she left her vehicle unsecured, with the keys inside of it, due to issues with the alarm.

The woman said that when she returned to her vehicle at 3:30 a.m. that she noticed it was not there.

The vehicle is valued at $14,000.
