UPDATED (10 a.m., Dec. 6) The Orangeburg Department of Public Safety announced that a runaway juvenile sought on Thursday was found safe a couple of hours later.

Elloree man accidentally shoots himself in leg

Leandrane Chapman, 15, was last seen by her mother leaving her residence on Green Street Sunday, Dec. 1, at about 10 p.m., according to an ODPS intelligence advisory bulletin released Thursday morning.

Chapman is described as black female standing 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighing 180 pounds. She has black hair, brown eyes and wears glasses.

The teen was last seen walking down Green Street wearing a black windbreaker, blue jeans and white shoes.

The juvenile has prior runaway incidents, according to law enforcement.

Chapman is reported to have had a rolling suitcase and white trash bag with belongings.

She was entered into the National Crime Information Center.
