An Orangeburg man accused of shooting a woman in the face turned himself in to police on Friday, according to the Orangeburg Department of Public Safety.
Louis Lukendrick Lee, 24, of Honeysuckle Drive, had been sought on a charge of attempted murder.
A bond hearing was held Friday morning. Bond was set at $25,000.
Investigators accuse Lee of firing several rounds into a woman’s Parkside Drive apartment around 10:50 p.m. on March 15.
Several bullets appeared to have entered the residence through a window, according to an ODPS incident report.
One bullet went through a TV, another struck a window on the opposite side of the living room and several bullets struck a wall, the report states.
The woman told officers that when she heard gunfire erupt, she got up to go upstairs.
She felt a bullet graze her face and when she went to grab her face, the bullet fell into her hand, the report states.
The woman’s children were inside another room of the apartment when the shooting occurred.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found the woman holding a towel on the left side of her face in an attempt to stop the bleeding.
