A 37-year-old Branchville man who was last seen on Nov. 23 has not yet been found.

S.C. Law Enforcement Division spokesperson Thom Berry said agents are continuing to work on the case of Hiram Eugene “Sport” Johnson of Hardwick Street.

Witnesses last saw Johnson entering a black Ford, which sped away from the residence. Johnson was a passenger in the backseat.

A Hardwick Street neighbor reported that he received a call from someone using Johnson’s cellphone.

The neighbor said that the caller demanded $25,000 from Johnson’s brother or they’d kill Johnson.

Johnson is a black male who is 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighs approximately 170 pounds and has a low faded haircut.

He has a scar on the back of his head with a tattoo below. The tattoo says, “AR-15, 11-02-00” and beneath that is an outline resembling an AR-15 firearm.

Johnson takes medication to treat seizures.

Anyone with information about Johnson’s whereabouts is asked to call the Branchville Police Department at 803-274-8820, Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC or SLED’s Low Country Regional Office at 843-782-3822. Callers don’t have to provide their names.
