The Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office responded to two recent shooting incidents. No injuries were reported.

The first incident occurred around 1:13 a.m. Friday on Norway Road.

Deputies spoke with four people who were inside of their bedrooms when they heard six gunshots ring out, according to an incident report.

One of the victims met deputies on the front porch of the home. That victim told deputies that smoke came from the kitchen area just before they called 911.

It is not known if the kitchen smoke is connected to the gunshots.

Around 8:30 a.m. Sunday, several residents of Southgate Estates called law enforcement after hearing gunshots in the areas of Hickory Hill Road, Faglier Circle and Brigadier Lane.

Callers reported seeing three unknown males walking around while firing weapons.

Deputies weren’t able to locate anyone matching the descriptions provided. However, they discovered two sets of vehicle tracks on both sides of Hickory Hill Road.

An incident report states that the vehicles appeared to have traveled at a high rate of speed.

Deputies found 10 F.C. Luger 9mm gold cartridge casings near a trailer park on Hickory Hill Road.

No homes or vehicles appeared to have been damaged in the shooting, the report states.
