Orangeburg County Sheriff's Office

Someone reported a death threat against an Orangeburg County judge, according to a sheriff’s office incident report.

Sheriff’s Office spokesman Richard Walker said, “OCSO investigators are following positive leads to ID the caller and are positive no threat from that source remains.”

A female caller contacted the Orangeburg County dispatch department shortly before noon on Thursday, stating a male subject was “coming to Orangeburg to kill a judge.”

The case remains under investigation.

In a separate incident, a Eutawville man reported someone broke into his Sandspoint Street storage shed Wednesday night.

The following items were stolen: three shotguns, a hammer drill, reciprocating saw, air compressor, miter saw and 12 nail guns. The stolen items are valued at $16,425.
