A moped operator reported that a shirtless man in yellow shorts pulled a knife on him just after 4 p.m. Wednesday near the corner of John C. Calhoun Drive and Stonewall Jackson Boulevard, according to an incident report.

The moped operator told officers that he’d turned off of John C. Calhoun Drive when the man approached him. He said the man was “acting strange.”

The man pulled out a silver folding knife, the report said.

The moped operator said the man asked him how much money he had with him. The moped operator told him that he didn’t have any money.

The man with the knife told him that he’d cut him anyway, the report states.

The moped operator left the area as the man fled the scene by walking through nearby parking lots, the report said.

Officers weren’t able to locate the man who reportedly had the knife.
