A St. Matthews man reported that he and another man who lives at the same address got into a “wrestling match” with no punches thrown over rent money the other man owed to him.

Several thefts reported in Calhoun County

On May 24, the man reported that the suspect owed him $100 for rent and had not paid. He also said that the suspect threw a brick at his mobile home and put a hole in it.

Fishing boat, equipment stolen

The victim declined to press charges. However, the suspect was arrested on an outstanding warrant from the county.

Bleeding man says he was assaulted with garden hose

• An Orangeburg man reported on May 24 that an unknown person moved his bicycle from under his carport to the edge of the road. No more information was available.

• A St. Matthews reported on May 27 that he had placed his homemade trailer across the middle of a path to block people from using his property. He said someone slashed both of the tires and broke the taillights. He made the report in the event of future crimes.
