An Orangeburg liquor store was robbed at 3 p.m. Monday, according to a sheriff’s office incident report.

The clerk at Amaker Liquor Store, located at 2515 Old Edisto Drive, told deputies that she was talking on her cellphone inside of the business when two men entered.

She thought the men were joking when they demanded that she hand over the money in the cash register.

One of the men then pointed a firearm at her and she knew that the demand for money was not a joke.

The man with the gun then came behind the counter and demanded that she open the cash register drawer, saying “I want your money,” according to the incident report.

She removed all of the cash from it and handed to the men.

The two men ran out of business.

They were both wearing black hoodies pulled over their facial areas, white T-shirts, dark jeans and white belts, the clerk told deputies.

One of the men did all of talking while pointing the firearm at her. His accomplice stood there, the report states.

The incident remains under investigation and no arrests have been made.
