The sheriff’s office is trying to find the people who robbed a 40-year-old man at gunpoint, leaving him in his underwear on Thursday night, according to an incident report.

Deputies responded to Brentwood Drive at 10:48 p.m. in reference to a subject “naked, knocking on citizens’ doors.”

They discovered the man shivering in his underwear underneath a carport.

The man told deputies that he accepted a ride from the driver of a green, tan-bottomed Ford Expedition. He told deputies that he knew the driver by his nickname.

The vehicle seemed to malfunction at the intersection of Brentwood Drive and Country Colony Drive, the man said. Three people then arrived in a black or green Honda.

“The driver pulled a gun on him. Also, three other subjects arrived with guns and made him strip off his clothes,” the report states.

The gunmen took the man’s book bag, which contained his Samsung Galaxy S7 cellphone, plus $600 in cash and the clothes he was wearing.

The man was not injured during the ordeal.

He described the driver as a black male with a low haircut, large beard and wearing a Mossy Oak camouflage outfit.

If anyone has information about the gunmen involved in this incident, they are asked to call Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
