A North man needed medical treatment for a bullet wound to his left thigh Thursday morning, according to an Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office incident report.

The man said he was standing around a bonfire at his Holly Creek Road apartment shortly after 3 a.m.

A bullet that was in the fire discharged, striking him in the left thigh, he said.

The incident report alleges the victim was uncooperative and not forthcoming with information.

A woman helped transport the victim after he called her for a ride to the hospital.

The victim received treatment for his wound at the Lexington Medical Center.
