Orangeburg County Sheriff's Office

Two men forced their way into a Charleston Highway home in Bowman on Saturday night and robbed an 18-year-old at gunpoint, according to an Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office incident report.

The teen said he was home alone and in the back room of the residence. He heard someone jiggling a doorknob and he assumed it was the homeowner.

He then heard a big boom and he poked his head out of the room.

The teen saw two men carrying rifles that resembled AK-47s, the incident report states.

One of the men was wearing a red shirt and the other man was dressed in all black, the teen told deputies.

One of them put a gun to the teen’s head and said, “Back the f - - - up,” according to the incident report.

The teen complied.

One of the men asked the teen what was valuable inside of the residence.

At that point, the men took an Apple iPhone 6 Plus, a Samsung Galaxy4, a 28-inch RCA television, a Haier flatscreen television, an HP laptop computer, a wallet and a jar containing about $60 in coins.

The total value of the items stolen is $1,990.

If anyone has information about the crime, they are asked to call Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
