A 20-year-old Cordova man is recovering from two gunshot wounds he received on Sunday, according to an Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office incident report.

The man said he was shot at around 2 a.m. as he was driving his 2003 red Chevrolet Malibu in the 1300 block of Cannon Bridge Road.

He told deputies the shooting occurred between Aloha Drive and Kennerly Road.

He drove home after the incident.

Deputies spoke with the injured man as he lay on his bed and noticed at least two gunshot wounds, one to his left leg and one to the left side of his chest.

EMS transported the man to the Regional Medical Center.

Deputies saw the man’s vehicle in the carport and noticed what appeared to be gunshot holes in the driver’s side.

The incident remains under investigation.
