Orangeburg Department of Public Safety detectives want to know more about the person who drove this Ford SUV. They think it might be connected to a stolen Ford Expedition.

Orangeburg Department of Public Safety detectives are seeking James Elliot Dantzler of Orangeburg.

Detective A. Black said the department has a shoplifting warrant for Dantzler, but the agency hasn’t been able to locate him.

According to Black, Dantzler is suspected of shoplifting at the Walmart Neighborhood Market at 332 Stonewall Jackson Boulevard on Nov. 17.

Black said Dantzler allegedly stole six cases of Bud Light, six packs of ribeye steaks, bananas, a 24-pack of dinner rolls, two six packs of one-half liter Pepsi soft drinks and a 32-ounce energy drink.

Officers also want to speak with Dantzler regarding the sale of a Ford Expedition to Sunshine Recycling Center on Nov. 28. He has not been charged in that incident.

Around noon on that day, someone stole the vehicle from the Ollies Bargain Outlet parking lot at 1462 Chestnut Street.

The ignition and steering column were stripped, Black said.

The department is also seeking people who were driving a burgundy car and a green Ford SUV. They may be connected to the stolen Ford Expedition.

“We are seeking information on the whereabouts of the suspect and any information on his accomplices,” Black said.

Anyone with information about Dantzler, any accomplices and their whereabouts is asked to call the Orangeburg Department of Public Safety at 803-533-5907 or Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
