Two vehicles parked at the Cope Career Center are missing catalytic converters.

The auto mechanic instructor reported Thursday that he became alarmed after hearing a loud noise from a school bus he was driving.

He noticed it was missing its catalytic converter. He then checked other vehicles parked there and discovered a training vehicle was also missing a catalytic converter.

He wasn’t sure when the theft took place, but noted that the bus had been parked at the Slab Landing Road facility for about three weeks and the training vehicle was parked for about six months.

The value of the stolen catalytic converters is $600.

In an unrelated report, a Sease Road man reported Thursday that the following items were stolen from his home: a 37-inch Element television, a 42-inch Sanyo television, a Sony PlayStation4, a Sony PlayStation game called Gran Turismo, a Microsoft Xbox 360 and a Roku stick.

The value of the stolen items is $1,179.
