Two recent burglaries were reported in Calhoun County.
On Nov. 20, a Orangeburg man reported a burglary at a St. Matthews residence. The man had gone to the residence to repair a heater and noticed a window had been broken out. The person who rented the house had not moved in yet.

The damage to the house was estimated at $100.
And in an unrelated incident on Nov. 21, a St. Matthews woman reported that the Calhoun Oil Company in St. Matthews was broken into. A window was broken and $50 of cigarette packs and a bank bag containing $250 were taken. The total loss was valued at $600.
