An unknown burglar may be planning a backyard barbecue, judging from what the person stole.

A Lexington man reported on Jan. 26 that someone broke into his residence in Swansea and took a portion of his air conditioner unit, a Char-Broil brand fryer, a Char-Broil brand grill, a swing set and four chairs.

The loss is valued at $4,049.

In other reports:

• Calhoun County reported to the sheriff’s office on Jan. 23 that two individuals entered the Calhoun County Dump Site at 68 Hammond Cross Road, St. Matthews, after hours and removed a dirt bike valued at $50. A witness was able to identify two suspects.

• A St. Matthews man reported on Jan. 28 that someone driving a white extended-cab pickup truck cut the fence at his business, took a black 5x8 single-axle trailer and drove toward St. Matthews. The damage and the trailer are valued at $1,800.

• A Cameron man reported on Jan. 30 that someone kicked in his front door and took his television valued at $1,000.
