Taylor Coryn Marcus and Audie Miles Cooper, both of Orangeburg, S.C., were united in marriage at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 26, 2019, at First Presbyterian Church in Orangeburg.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stuart Hyman Marcus of Orangeburg. She is the granddaughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. Hyman Marcus of Orangeburg; Mr. Noah Haltiwanger and the late Mrs. Carolyn Till Haltiwanger of Columbia, S.C.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gene Autry Cooper, Jr., of Orangeburg. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Gene Autry Cooper, Sr., of Neeses, S.C. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Homer Marion Wolfe, Jr., of Orangeburg.
The Reverend Dr. W. Darren Bess officiated the ceremony.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents.
Maid of honor was Estah Blanchard Freeman of Mount Pleasant, S.C.
Bridesmaids were Katherine Smith DaSilva of Charlotte, N.C.; Lauren Holley Davies of Charlotte; Megan Farr Rome of Charleston, S.C. and Sara Fowler Weathers of Columbia.
The bridegroom’s father served as best man.
Groomsmen were Benjamin Parker Cooper of Summerville, S.C.; Benjamin Amman Ford of Charleston; Andrew Patrick Hawkins of Columbia; Andrew Dean Shuler of Orangeburg and Travis Andrew Tourville of Columbia.
Flower girls were Miss Georgia Grace Blanchard of Orangeburg, friend of the bride and Miss Madeline Mae Delle Franga of Orangeburg, cousin of the groom.
Ring bearer was Russell Allen Blanchard, V, friend of the bride.
Music was provided by Mrs. Sylvia Huff Trimmier - Organist.
Following the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents.
Music/entertainment was provided by The Men of Distinction.
Following a wedding trip the couple will reside in Orangeburg.
Mrs. Cooper is a graduate of Orangeburg Preparatory School; she received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Wofford College and a Master of Accountancy degree from the University of South Carolina. She is currently employed by Brodie, Summers and Wilkes, LLP as a CPA.
Mr. Cooper is a graduate of Orangeburg Preparatory School and received an Associate degree in Arts and Science from Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College. He is currently employed by The Building Center in West Columbia as an Operations Manager.
