BAMBERG — Bamberg Family Practice will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house to celebrate its new Bamberg office, located at 2113 Main Highway, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, June 2.
The public is cordially invited to attend.
Bamberg Family Practice will close its current office from June 5–7 to complete the move. The practice will open at the new location at 8 a.m. Monday, June 10.
Owned by Dr. Danette McAlhaney, Bamberg Family Practice currently has five providers, two physicians and three nurse practitioners who specialize in primary care, children’s and adolescent health, women’s health and preventive care.

Bamberg Family Practice provides school-based telehealth services to Bamberg School District One as well as primary care services to Bamberg Nursing Home, owned by Pruitt Health.
A native of Reevesville, McAlhaney graduated from the College of Charleston in 1990 with a bachelor’s degree in biology. She received her medical doctor degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in 1994.
After completing her family medicine residency at McLeod Health in 1997, McAlhaney joined Dr. F. Marion Dwight at Bamberg Family Practice. She purchased the practice when he retired after serving the community for more than 50 years.
