ORANGEBURG OUT OF THE PAST

His longtime tenure at the Regional Medical Center from 1961 to 1993 propelled our hospital into the forefront of health care. Mr. Mabry was responsible for Orangeburg building a state-of-the-art hospital on the St. Matthews Road in 1981 as well as creating the cancer treatment center there a few years later. In appreciation for his efforts to create this outstanding cancer center, the hospital’s Board of Trustees named this facility the Mabry Center for Cancer Care.
